Description
AJAZZ AK690 Mechanical Keyboard with Compact 68-Key Design
he AJAZZ AK690 is a compact wired mechanical keyboard designed for gamers, students, programmers, and everyday computer users. Its 68-key layout saves desk space while retaining essential arrow keys, making it suitable for gaming and productivity. With mechanical switches, USB Type-C connectivity, multicolor backlighting, and a detachable cable, it offers a practical solution for compact desktop setups.
Whether you are upgrading your gaming peripherals or looking for a smaller keyboard for everyday work, the AJAZZ AK690 combines essential functionality with a space-saving design.
Compact 68-Key Design for Gaming and Productivity
The 68-key layout provides a balance between compact dimensions and everyday usability. Unlike a full-size keyboard, it removes the dedicated numeric keypad while retaining essential navigation keys, including the arrow keys.
This layout offers several advantages:
- More desk space for mouse movement
- A compact setup for smaller desks
- Convenient arrow-key access
- Easier portability than many full-size keyboards
- A clean layout for gaming and productivity
For FPS gamers, the extra mouse space can be particularly useful when playing with lower mouse sensitivity. Programmers and students can also benefit from the compact footprint when working at a limited desk space.
Reliable Wired USB Type-C Connectivity
The AJAZZ AK690 uses a wired USB Type-C connection for consistent input during gaming and everyday computer use. Unlike wireless keyboards, it does not rely on a wireless connection or require a separate wireless receiver.
Its wired connection is useful for:
- Competitive and casual gaming
- Office work and typing
- Programming and studying
- Everyday desktop use
The detachable 1.5-metre cable also makes storage and cable management more convenient when reorganizing your desk or transporting the keyboard.
Responsive Mechanical Switches for Typing and Gaming
Mechanical switches provide individual actuation mechanisms for each key, offering a different typing feel from conventional membrane keyboards.
The AJAZZ AK690 is designed for users who want responsive keystrokes during gaming, writing, and everyday computer tasks. Mechanical switches can also provide consistent feedback when entering repeated commands or typing for extended periods.
The supplied specifications do not identify the exact switch model or whether every variant uses the same switch type, so check the available variant before purchasing if you have a specific typing preference.
Full N-Key Rollover for Multi-Key Inputs
The keyboard supports full N-Key Rollover (NKRO), allowing multiple key presses to be registered simultaneously, subject to the keyboard’s operating mode and software compatibility.
This feature is useful in games that require several simultaneous inputs, such as movement, jumping, crouching, and other keyboard commands.
For everyday use, NKRO also supports complex keyboard shortcuts and combinations without the limitations associated with lower key-rollover implementations.
Multicolor Backlighting for Your Setup
The AJAZZ AK690 features mixed multicolor backlighting that adds visual appeal to a gaming desk or computer workstation.
The lighting is useful for improving key visibility in dim environments and coordinating the keyboard with other gaming accessories.
Its backlighting makes it suitable for users who prefer a gaming-oriented appearance without needing a full-size keyboard.
Compact and Lightweight Construction
Measuring approximately 325 × 114 × 42 mm and weighing around 535 g, the keyboard is designed to occupy relatively little desk space.
Its ABS keycaps and body keep the construction practical for everyday use, while the detachable cable makes it easier to pack away when needed.
The compact size also makes the AJAZZ AK690 suitable for smaller workstations, student desks, and gaming setups where a full-size keyboard would take up too much room.
Plug-and-Play Compatibility
The AJAZZ AK690 supports Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux according to the supplied specifications. Its plug-and-play operation helps simplify the initial setup on compatible devices.
The wired connection makes it suitable for desktop computers and compatible USB-equipped devices. For Android devices, a suitable USB connection or adapter may be required.
Compatibility with specific operating-system functions and keyboard shortcuts can vary by device.
