Description
AULA F2088 Air Trio-Mode Full Size Mechanical Keyboard
The AULA F2088 Air is a full-size mechanical keyboard designed for users who want the functionality of a traditional 104-key layout combined with modern wireless connectivity and customization options. It features Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and USB Type-C wired connectivity, along with hot-swappable switches, RGB lighting and a rechargeable built-in battery.
Available with Red or Brown switches, the AULA F2088 Air can be configured around different typing preferences. Its full-size layout also includes a dedicated numeric keypad, making it suitable not only for gaming but also for office work, productivity and content creation.
What Is the AULA F2088 Air?
The AULA F2088 Air is a 104-key full-size mechanical keyboard with three connection modes and hot-swappable switch support.
Its combination of a traditional full-size layout and wireless functionality makes it suitable for users who need both a dedicated number pad and the flexibility to connect to multiple devices.
Key Features
- Full-size 104-key layout
- Dedicated numeric keypad
- Bluetooth connectivity
- 2.4GHz wireless connectivity
- USB Type-C wired connection
- Red or Brown switch options
- Hot-swappable switches
- RGB lighting effects
- Rechargeable built-in battery
- Injection-molded keycaps
- Multi-device support
- Full-key anti-ghosting
- Windows, macOS, Android and iOS compatibility
AULA F2088 Air Full-Size 104-Key Layout
Unlike compact 60%, 65% or 75% keyboards, the AULA F2088 Air uses a full-size 104-key layout.
It retains the dedicated:
- Function row
- Arrow keys
- Navigation keys
- Number pad
- Standard alphanumeric section
The numeric keypad makes the F2088 Air particularly useful for users who regularly work with numbers, spreadsheets, accounting applications or productivity software.
The trade-off is that a full-size keyboard occupies more desk space than compact layouts.
Tri-Mode Connectivity
The AULA F2088 Air supports three connection methods:
Bluetooth
Bluetooth allows the keyboard to connect wirelessly to compatible laptops, tablets, smartphones and other supported devices.
2.4GHz Wireless
The 2.4GHz wireless mode provides a cable-free connection for compatible setups and can be useful for desktop gaming and everyday computer use.
USB Type-C Wired
For a direct connection, the keyboard can be used through USB Type-C wired mode.
Having all three connection options allows the keyboard to be used across different setups without being restricted to a single connection method.
Red and Brown Mechanical Switch Options
The AULA F2088 Air is available with Red or Brown switches.
Red Switch
Red switches are designed around a smooth linear keystroke without tactile feedback during the press.
They can be suitable for:
- Gaming
- Fast repeated keystrokes
- Users who prefer a smooth key press
- Users who want a relatively quiet mechanical switch
Brown Switch
Brown switches provide tactile feedback while maintaining a non-clicky switch design.
They can be suitable for:
- General typing
- Office work
- Gaming
- Users who prefer tactile feedback
- Mixed work-and-gaming setups
The best choice ultimately depends on individual typing preference.
Hot-Swappable Mechanical Switches
The AULA F2088 Air features hot-swappable switch support, allowing compatible switches to be replaced without soldering.
This gives keyboard enthusiasts more flexibility to customize the typing experience over time.
Instead of replacing the entire keyboard when you want a different switch feel, compatible switches can be changed according to the keyboard’s supported switch specification.
Important: Only use switches confirmed to be compatible with the F2088 Air.
RGB Backlighting
The keyboard features RGB lighting effects that add customizable illumination to the setup.
RGB lighting can be useful for:
- Gaming setups
- Low-light environments
- Matching a desk aesthetic
- Creating different keyboard lighting effects
The lighting is primarily an aesthetic and visibility feature and does not directly determine the keyboard’s typing or switch performance.
Rechargeable Built-In Battery
The AULA F2088 Air includes a rechargeable built-in battery for wireless operation.
This allows the keyboard to operate without a permanently connected cable when using its wireless modes.
The information supplied for this product does not provide a specific battery capacity or tested runtime, so I would not add an estimated number of hours or days to the product page unless AULA’s official specification confirms it.
Multi-Device Support
The F2088 Air supports multi-device connectivity, making it suitable for users who work across multiple compatible devices.
For example, a user could use the keyboard with a desktop computer while also connecting it to another compatible laptop, tablet or mobile device.
The exact number of simultaneously stored or switchable devices should be verified from the manufacturer’s documentation before adding a specific number.
Full-Key Anti-Ghosting
The keyboard features full-key anti-ghosting.
This helps the keyboard register multiple simultaneous key presses more reliably, which can be useful during gaming and other situations involving several keys being pressed at the same time.
Compatibility
The supplied specifications list compatibility with:
- Windows
- macOS
- Android
- iOS
Compatibility can vary depending on the connection method and the specific device.

Who Should Consider a Smaller Keyboard?
If your priority is maximum desk space or a compact gaming setup, a 65%, 75% or similar compact keyboard may be more appropriate.
The F2088 Air’s advantage is its complete 104-key functionality, rather than minimizing its footprint.
AULA F2088 Air vs. Compact Keyboards
The biggest difference is the layout.
A compact keyboard removes some keys to reduce its footprint, while the AULA F2088 Air keeps the complete 104-key arrangement, including the number pad.
This makes the F2088 Air a better fit for users who frequently need numerical input or prefer having every standard keyboard section available.
Final Verdict
The AULA F2088 Air combines a traditional 104-key full-size mechanical layout with modern wireless connectivity and customization.
Its Bluetooth, 2.4GHz and USB Type-C connectivity, along with hot-swappable Red or Brown switches, RGB lighting, full-key anti-ghosting and a rechargeable battery, give it flexibility for gaming, office work and productivity.
The main consideration is its full-size footprint. If you need a dedicated numeric keypad and prefer having a complete keyboard layout, the F2088 Air is a practical option. If desk space is your main priority, a compact keyboard may be a better fit.
